I am in my late 40’s and was on the search for skin care line that would assist me in aging gracefully, when Lorinda at Nutrition Plus here in Barrie handed me a brochure on Skin Essence.
I have known her for many, many years and she knew that my skin is ultra sensitive as I have rosacea and dermographism (skin reacts to friction or touch and becomes red, swollen and/or experience hives). A woman walked my store last week with some of the worst eczema I have seen all around her swollen eyes. Bright red, tender and itchy. A local day spa uses Skin Essence Organics products, and after a facial I decided to try this range out. My skin has never looked or felt so healthy. I have sensitive combination skin, and trying to find a product that wouldn’t aggravate my skin was becoming impossible, until now. I have been using the facial wash, sensitive serum, and eye oil, as well as the soothing facial exfoliating mask for 2 months now and I have had many a comment on how I glow!
At first it was a daunting thought switching from a moisturizing cream to oil of all things, but the oil is light, it soaks in and doesn’t block the pores, and the skin does not look or feel greasy. PLUS, the ingredients are organic, delivery is extremely quick, the price is reasonable, customer service is out of this world, and the products last a long time.

Absolutely, positively, love the Eczema/Rosacea cream it is truly amazing. The problems I had on the outside of my nose was irritating, and horrible to look at. I took the beautiful container, applied your cream and the itch went away immediately. The next day I had a skin coloured nose instead of a “beetroot” colored one.

I am 30 years-old and for over a decade, I have wanted to find a skin care line that fulfilled my desire to nourish my sensitive skin, but still have a skin care routine that is minimal in order to keep up with my busy lifestyle of work and travel.
I found just the skin care line while preparing for a business trip to Dubai last summer. I wanted a light, non greasy moisturizer since the Dubai summers are unlike anything you could ever imagine. I am a young woman who likes to go out, have fun and wear heavy makeup from time to time. I have never really had horrible skin, just some blemishes and occasional pimples, but since using Skin Essence, I have found that my face appears to have a natural radiant glow about it and I hardly ever break out. I have been wearing less makeup because my skin has become more evenly balanced since using the products.
The dark circles around my eyes are virtually gone as well from using the ocular serum on a regular basis. After using the Skin Essence line for about a week I also had about a half dozen people comment on my skin and how great it looks, which in itself is enough for me to know that this stuff actually works! I think I may have finally found the missing piece to my puzzle. For years, I have been battling skin issues with minor acne to oily and to very dry chapped skin especially in the winter and I have to say, it has really taken a tole on my self esteem.
First off a bit about me! I live a very natural and totally organic lifestyle and avoid all foods that can cause inflammation and stress on the body, thus I avoid dairy, sugar, (even in its natural state from fruit) foods high in omega 6, and processed foods. My diet could not be any cleaner than it is and and I am extremely health conscience, very active, and live a holistic lifestyle.
Thus I must say, dealing with skin issues has been very frustrating to me, because you would think someone who lives the way I do, should expect to see beautiful skin, but unfortunately for me, this was not the case. After having tried so many organic and natural skin care regimes, even some DIY methods, my skin appeared a bit better at times and then no so much at other times.
Until one day it was mentioned to me from a lady working at the health and beauty counter of Natures Emporium, to give oils a try for my skin. Well, that to me, sounded crazy! Put ‘OIL’ on my acne prone, oily skin! no way!! I was very hesitant! So a few days later I gave Skin Essence a call and spoke with David. He answered all the questions I had and took the time to share with me, the true benefits of using the specific oils and reassured me that my skin will react well and he encouraged me to give the products a try. Since nothing else really worked well on my skin, I figured I had nothing to loose at this point, so I opted to give them a try. I have been using the Skin Essence Fresh Cleanser, I alternate between the Light and Nourish Moisture and would not be without the Facial in a Jar. It has now been just under 2 weeks and my skin has never felt or looked better!!! WOW, very very impressed! The oil in my skin is balanced, no more dry patches, my minor acne almost non existent, my skin is soft and I have such a nice glow to my complexion. So essentially, the missing piece to my lifestyle puzzle, was finding the right skin care to treat the outside of my skin for I knew that what I had been doing for the inside was without a doubt already taken care of.
I thank David for his continued support and I could not be happier with Skin Essence Organics. I recommend to anyone, and especially to those who have skin issues as I had. Take it from my experience, to at least give them a try. From someone who has really been down a long road with getting clear skin, I honestly can say, my results from Skin Essence Organics has been that of a very positive one.

I discovered Skin Essence by chance when I was browsing through my favourite wellness/health food store and I am so happy to say that this product line is really one of the best I’ve ever used. In fact this is it, I don’t think I will use any other from now on. I use the cleanser, the Soothe serum for daytime, the rosehip seed oil at night, the eye serum, the soothing face mask and the exfoliating mask. These all-natural products are second to none. After 6 weeks, my skin is smooth, soft and even. At first I was a bit hesitant to use oil based cleansers and moisturizers. I had a very bad experience with oil cleansing a few years back (awful cystic acne breakout). These oils however are very light and absorb well. The key is to wet your face first and mix the oils in with the water. Every drop of oil is absorbed this way. The other day my dentist held a mirror up to my face under her harsh florescent spotlight and for once I did not flinch. Under that harsh white light my skin actually looked pretty good. If your skin can look decent under harsh white light you KNOW you’ve got a good product. The key is patience…it won’t happen overnight but with consistent use my skin is glowing.

I have been using the Skin Essence products for two weeks now. I have tried many products throughout my life, having had issues with acne and eczema. I am now in my late forties and have never found a line that I was impressed enough with to be loyal to. Before I started using Skin Essence, my skin felt like sandpaper before applying any sort of moisturizer and even that was short-lived. The first thing I noticed the very first time I used the Skin Essence products was how soft my skin felt, and that it continued to be soft throughout the day. I am using Light, and never want to be without it. I am 51 and have had acne all my life it seems. This formula gives my skin the moisture it needs and controls my breakouts. I always associated facial oils with pore clogging leading to acne, so I shied away from them, but this amazes me. If a pimple starts appearing, I cleanse and apply this all over and it disappears overnight AND my skin is actually less oily than if I had used a drying acid product.

I’ve been using Skin Essence Organics products for two weeks now and I’m VERY, VERY impressed and pleased! I used to have oily skin and now (at 57) it’s pretty much combination/aging, without specific issues or allergies (well, some wrinkles, but that’s just normal!). However, I have not been satisfied with the so-called cruelty-free, organic products I’ve tried in the past. My skin either felt tight and dry in places or would develop bumps and weird whiteheads. After talking to a couple of people about rose-hip oil and doing some on-line research, I found Skin Essence, which ticked all the boxes – cruelty-free/vegan, fully organic, fair-trade, recyclable packaging, Canadian, and the testimonials and information on the website were very persuasive.
Although I was a bit skeptical about using “oils” on my formerly oily skin, I decided to bite the bullet and order the Pure cleanser, Nourish moisturizing serum and Facial in a Jar … and I’m really glad I did! After my first use of the products, I said “wow!”. After two weeks, I’m amazed at how SOFT and smooth and clear and bright my complexion feels and looks.
The cleansing/moisturizing/exfoliating routine is quick, easy and pleasant; the Pure cleanser rinses off quickly, the Nourish serum slips on easily on wet skin and smells lovely and the Facial in a Jar ramps up the softness quotient! As well, the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality and the customer service is excellent. I e-mailed a question about sun-protection and had a response almost immediately. (I was told that the amount of zinc oxide in the Nourish serum provides an SPF of about 10. I’ve been blitzing in my gardens in the sun and I found that with a hat and the serum, I haven’t “tanned”. Also, the E-cream has a higher proportion of zinc oxide, so higher SPF.)
If I were asked to rate the Skin Essence products I’m now using, I’d say “well exceeds expectations”, “on a scale of 1 to 10, an 11”, “A+++”; you get the idea. So that’s it … I’ve found skin products I love and I intend to stick with them! Thank you!
